Where My Heart Is

I have always wanted to learn how to draw. After getting a bachelor's degree in design I was not satisfied with my illustration skills. Then I started to draw circles. You know this "repeat 10 000 times and you'll learn it". I have made more than 10 000 circles I'm sure. I do not know if I have become much of an illustrator but I have definitely got passion for using my pens. Keep me away from them for few days and you get a very angry and frustrated woman! It's where my heart is, truly!

A glimpse of what I've just made: more handmade business cards. (Look at my treasure box of handdrawn papers, it's pretty full!)

  1. I think I love you. You are talking about just what I want to do. So I'll begin with drawing circles. But boy am I bad at that.

  7. My friend drew me to you website and I was astounded by the depth of color and emotion in your artwork, as well as your design of fabric. Did you take a class in "circles"? or did you just start and go forward?

  8. Tanya, thanks for your comment! I have loved art all my life and always dreamt about finding my own style. I have taken some art classes now and then but I think the main thing for learning is to establish a routine of practice. For many the most difficult thing is to let go and just create. If you are seeking for courses I personally like Traci Bautista's freestyle approach. But in the end it's all about finding things that you love and what you are made of.
